Kate and Jol Temple
Kate and Jol Temple are internationally awarded authors of more than 32 hilarious books for kids, from smash-hit picture book series Bin Chicken to action-adventure illustrated novels like Mega Rich Guinea Pigs and graphic novels like Frog Squad! Their sessions are high energy, packed full of fun and designed to get kids reading for pleasure. When Kate and Jol are not writing, they love getting out to schools and festivals, and talking to kids about books and ideas.
Kate and Jol live in Sydney. When they are not writing books, Kate pretends to play the tuba and Jol designs armour for rabbits.

From frogs to dogs and even MEGA RICH HOGS! In this session, Kate and Jol will show students how they create their hilarious illustrated novels. Using their brand-new series Mega Rich Guinea Pigs as well as Frog Squad, the team will reveal the tips and tricks to making a series that keep you hooked … This session is also a fun way of looking at how students can keep their own stories moving. It’s sure to inspire a love of reading and storytelling.
