C.S. Pacat
C.S. Pacat is The New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Dark Rise, a young adult fantasy series; the Captive Prince trilogy and the GLAAD-nominated graphic novels Fence, about the world of competitive fencing. She is also a writer for DC Comics. Educated at the University of Melbourne, C.S. Pacat has since lived in several cities including Tokyo in Japan and Perugia in Italy, and currently resides and works in Melbourne.

How to Write and Publish
C.S. Pacat will give a 10–15 minute introduction on who she is, how she became a writer and how she was first published. This will follow with a 45–50 minute Q&A answering student (and teacher) questions about writing and publishing: how to write, the journey, opportunities, the day in the life of an author, Australian publishing industry, global publishing industry, writing craft, genres, etc.
